Anna James Miller, Andrew T. Miller Studios, Studio Director

Born in New England, relocated to the South in childhood, and a resident of Washington State for the last twelve years, Anna serves as Studio Director of Andrew T. Miller Music Studios. She manages the artists, staff, marketing, public relations, and daily operations of the studios and THE COMPOSER.

With a background in professional dance and choreography, as well as over a decade in performing arts administration and management, Anna also contributes choreography to the show, facilitates dance auditions, and works with some of the students and guest artists on movement and presence.

Anna has performed with noted artists including tap legend Savion Glover, contemporary choreographer Sonia Dawkins (Artistic Director of Prism Dance Theatre), has performed in acting roles for Seattle Opera and dancer roles for Bellevue Opera, modeled professionally in Seattle, Portland, and Paris during her early twenties, and was Miss Junior Watauga County, North Carolina at age ten.

The oldest daughter of three-time Grammy Award-winning cellist, instructor, and composer Eugene Friesen, Anna worked as a guest artist with Andrew T. Miller on various projects and performances over the last nine years, before stepping into a leadership role on his staff in 2012.
